A virtual event: Step Up for Down Syndrome Baltimore (formerly The Baltimore Buddy Walk®) is central Maryland’s largest and most-recognized Down syndrome awareness event. In 2021, we will make our Down syndrome community visible in every neighborhood, city, and county across central Maryland – highlighting that individuals with Down syndrome are vital and valued members of our larger communities.
The 2020 advocacy walk raised $80,000 in support of Central Maryland CDSPG families. This year, we aim to raise $100,000 to support the amazing programming that supports people with Down syndrome and those who love them.

IMPORTANT EVENT UPDATE: August 18,2021
While we were hopeful that we would be able to have an in-person celebration component for this year’s walk, due to ongoing complications caused by COVID-19, we have made the decision that this year's Step Up for Down Syndrome Baltimore Walk will once again take place 100% virtually. We will miss coming together in person with our teams to celebrate, however CDSPG has a great virtual event planned and there’s still so much to get excited about. We've got an awesome shirt, medals, Step Up swag and some amazing new individual and team fundraising prizes and more! Join us online and in neighborhoods across the country to raise awareness, celebrate our loved ones with Down syndrome and support the mission of CDSPG.
We can’t wait to celebrate our Step Up for Down Syndrome Baltimore Walk with you on October 24 and look forward to our community coming together virtually from around the world for a memorable and meaningful day.
